RKOKO Config Table Tool Free is a free Unity Editor extension for converting Excel `.xlsx` configuration tables into JSON and C# runtime access code.

## Free Edition Limitations

The Free edition is intended for basic configuration-table workflows. The following advanced tags are reserved for the full version:

- Collections: `#list`, `#array`
- Enum generation: `#enumvalue`, `#enumname`
- Custom object wrapping: `#item`
- Advanced nested table structures that depend on the tags above

## Upgrade to Full Version

If your project needs collection fields, enum generation, custom object wrapping, or more complex nested table structures, RKOKO Config Table Tool Full Version provides the advanced tag workflow for production projects.

Full Version adds support for:

- Collections with `#list` and `#array`
- Enum generation with `#enumvalue` and `#enumname`
- Custom objects with `#item`
- More flexible table structures for production projects

## Installation

1. Import the package into your Unity project.
2. Open the Unity top menu: `RKOKO Config Free > Install`.
3. If Newtonsoft.Json is not installed, the tool will try to install Unity's official Newtonsoft.Json package through Unity Package Manager.
4. After installation, open: `RKOKO Config Free > Open Tables Folder`.
5. Edit or replace the copied demo Excel file.
6. Run: `RKOKO Config Free > Export`.

## Basic Workflow

1. Put `.xlsx` files into the tool's table folder.
2. Follow the table format described in the included documentation.
3. Click `RKOKO Config Free > Export`.
4. The tool generates JSON and C# files into the configured output folders.
5. Use the generated `ConfigTables` API in your Unity project.

## Documentation

Open the included documentation from Unity:

`RKOKO Config Free > Documentation`

Or open this file manually:

`Assets/RKOKOConfigTableToolFree/Documentation/index.html`

## Demo Files

Demo Excel files are included in the package and are copied by the installer based on the selected editor language.

After installation, use:

`RKOKO Config Free > Open Tables Folder`

Then edit or replace the copied demo Excel file, such as `demo_en.xlsx` or the demo file for your selected editor language.

## Dependencies

RKOKO Config Table Tool Free includes a built-in `.xlsx` reader and does not require third-party Excel-reading libraries.

The generated runtime code uses Unity's official Newtonsoft.Json package. If it is missing, the installer will try to add `com.unity.nuget.newtonsoft-json` through Unity Package Manager.

## JSON Encryption Notice

The optional JSON encryption feature is intended for basic obfuscation of exported configuration files and should not be treated as a complete security solution for sensitive data.
